On our May 12 meeting we had Barbara Watson from Bendigo, well known rose expert and judge to speak about caring for roses. We had a magnificent display of autumn roses with many different kinds named. We were pleased to see so many members for this very informed talk on all things ROSES. Tips on pruning, caring, fertilizing, spraying for black spot etc with a great idea for replanting in a spot where a rose has died, such as a simple cardboard box put in your hole ,which you have removed old soil from then filling with fresh compost and soil until you are ready to plant.
