9 members had a day at Rodney & Shirley Clark’s farm of gorgous Dahlias in flower. Rodney is a well known exhibitor into shows and his knowledge is outstanding. A huge shaded area for Dahlias of all kinds from blowsy to pom poms the colours and form were stunning. Naturally the Chryssies weren’t out yet but a huge igloo shadehouse was full to the brim. He also has a nursery of Bromliads, Succulents, Orchids, Ferns, Hanging baskets with lots of different plants which we were able to purchase. Well worth a visit. Shirley provided a delicious morning tea of scones , and cakes with a tea or coffee. For lunch we went to Nurmurka to a hotel which was very yummy. We travelled on lots of back roads with plenty of the flooded paddocks and bushland on the land. An enjoyable day out with glorious weather.
