On Wednesday 30 March 2022 a bus trip of 34 enthusiastic gardeners, arrived at the show. The day started out overcast in Melbourne but cleared by lunchtime with the sun peeking out from some clouds. Once again the organizers outshone themselves with the setup of display gardens, artwork, quirky bits, coffee & food vans, plant sales and all things gardening. Our Floral Art ladies Rosemary & Leslie unfortunately were not successful in gaining any prizes this time, but their effort was very well received by us critics from our group, the winner was not to our liking anyway!! There were lots of themes in flower displays which featured anthuriums, orchids, chrysanthemums, succulents, native fauna, too many to mention. Of course many plants were purchased to go under the bus!! The Melbourne traffic hasn’t changed, very busy, we arrived home around 6.30 pm ,after our early start of 7am. Another show ticked off for the year.
